Riviera Village Summer Festival to return after three-year absence

The Riviera Village Summer Festival returns June 24-26 after a three-year gap due to the pandemic. 

Held along South Catalina Avenue, Avenue I, Avenida del Norte in the Village, it features a carnival, live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks and a wine and beer garden. 

Admission is free. A shuttle service, also free, runs from South High School Saturday 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The carnival includes a ferris wheel, giant slide, carnival games and a petting zoo with large and small animals. 

On Saturday, “Star Wars” fans may gather to greet Darth Vader, stormtroopers and other characters from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday begin at 10 a.m. with D.J. Ozzie playing songs from the 1960s and ‘70s.

The Riviera Summer Village Festival is in its 44th year. 

The full music schedule includes Retrofit and Barley on Friday, Max80s, Jeremy Buck and Tres Hombres Saturday and on Sunday, Crow Hill Band, Almost Famous and Feed the Kitty. ER
