Hundreds of mourners gathered at the corner of Grant and Rindge avenues Saturday night to mourn the death of 19-year-old Redondo Beach resident Priscilla Ruiz. The Redondo Shores graduate was killed when the car she was driving collided at the intersection with a taxi cab at about 3 a.m. Saturday morning. According to her boyfriend Richard Evans, Ruiz had just dropped Evans off at his Torrance home following his birthday celebration at Club Dulce in Hollywood. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office is investigating the cause of the accident.
