LOBSTER FESTIVAL
The 19th Annual Lobster festival also offers Angus steaks, live music, a mechanical bull, swimming and stand-up paddling in the lagoon, and plenty of kids games. Bicycle to the festival and get free admission if you participate in the 3rd Annual Rat Beach Bike Tour on Friday from 6 – 11 p.m., Saturday 12 noon – 11 p.m., Sunday 12 noon – 8 p.m. Seaside Lagoon, 200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach. CELEBRATE THE QUEEN MARY’S 80TH ANNIVERSARY
The world’s most beloved ocean liner turns 80 and the public is invited to join a ship-wide celebration. The Queen Mary will open her gangways and ballrooms, decks and salons, attractions and eateries to a daylong celebration highlighted by a very special event. OVERTURN CITIZENS UNITED
Because the Citizens United Supreme Court decision poses serious environmental concerns, the Environmental Priorities Network is presenting a public forum on how to strengthen our democracy and reclaim it from corporate dominance. FUNDRAISER SCREENING

DRUG TAKE-BACK DAY
The City of Redondo Beach will take part in the DEA organized National Prescription Drug Take-Back campaign. Safely dispose of your unwanted, unused and expired medications. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. 320 Knob Hill, Redondo Beach. WHITE POINT NATURE PRESERVE
There is a lot going on at White Point Nature Preserve. Volunteer from 9 a.m. – 12 noon. Native Plant sale from 12 noon – 2 p.m. National Public Lands Day lasts from 9 a.m. – 12 noon. A fun morning of planting native shrubs and enhancing the demonstration garden. Refreshments and t-shirts provided. Enjoy a free guided hike/Ranger Walk with different themes each month at 10 a.m. at White Point Nature Preserve, 1600 Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro.
