Spotlight on Books: Black & White Cocktail Party, Significant Donor Party for the Library

On Friday, November 1, the Peninsula Friends of the Library celebrated 128 “Significant Donors” at the Malaga Cove Library Gallery & Garden with an elegant Black & White Cocktail Party. Made By Meg hor d’oeuvres and the Daniel Diercks Jazz Trio highlighted the evening. One donor commented, “Every tiny detail has been addressed, from the beautiful invitation to the delightful decorations and gift bags. It reminded me of times back on the East Coast when I was younger and we’d have elegant parties. It was so nice to get dressed up and enjoy the company of others who share a similar interest in caring about the life and health of our libraries.” Another donor said, “The jazz trio was amazing. It’s my kind of music and I was able to sing along to the songs. The food presentation was superb. The photographers made us feel important. The Board members and organizers took such great care of us. It was simply gratifying to celebrate together.”
