Spotlight on Nature – Palos Verdes Pastoral Fundraiser supporting the PVPLC at Terranea

Over 200 dinner guests were seated outside at long tables elaborately decorated with native Palos Verdes flowers, and herbs arranged by Diana Heffernan Schrader, with the  Pacific Ocean as a sparkling backdrop. Ralph Grippo, Terranea Resort’s newly appointed president, welcomed the guests. Adrienne Mohan, Executive Director of the Conservancy, announced they had recently been awarded $18 million by the Federal Wildlife Agency. It is the largest sum  ever awarded to protect wildlife habitats for the Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly, and other native wildlife. Terranea Chef de Cuisine Andrew Vaughan presented the garden-to-table meal, and a Cheney Family art collection featuring the Portuguese Bend Art Colony exhibited was on exhibit in the gallery. All proceeds benefited the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy.
