Spotlight on outdoors – Palos Verdes Pastoral

Imagine linen-draped tables accented with the vibrant colors of nature reflecting the timeless beauty of the Peninsula. Guests seated al fresco before the breathtaking coastline that is the backdrop to an extraordinary encore event to benefit the preservation of the Peninsula’s unique natural lands. Hosted by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy in partnership with Terranea Resort, the “Palos Verdes Pastoral: Garden-to-Table Dining Experience” was held Sunday October 27th.  This year Pastoral honored the Peninsula’s long lasting connection to the land and sea. Acclaimed Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra created a unique garden-to-table menu with elements from the historic lands along with sustainable local resources such as fresh herbs, honey, salts, vegetables and fruits.  “We have created a one-of-a-kind event based on the concept of local food, nature and community” explains Pastoral Chair Diana Heffernan-Schrader.
