Spotlight on Research – The Lundquist Institute Honors Filler, Harrington as Legends 2022
Scott Filler MD and Darrell Harrington MD were honored as The Lundquist Institute 2022 Legends during a Dec. 7 recognition dinner at the Lundquist Institute’s (TLI) new Medical Research Laboratory (MRL). Dr. Filler was recognized for his research on fungal infections and vaccines. Dr. Harrington was recognized for his groundbreaking work treating venous thromboembolism (VTE). TLI is currently completely sold out of its bioscience incubator, named the BioLab, where 35 startup companies are thriving and are choosing to be based in Los Angeles. The first two installments of the unrestricted $70 million gift from Melanie and Richard Lundquist have been utilized to recruit 9 new investigators who are now all set up and self-funded, further innovating TLI.
