Spotlight on the charity – Ambassadors’ Evening

A stunning Queen’s Necklace view of the Santa Monica Bay greeted more than 120 guests at the Rancho Palos Verdes home of Mary Jo and Dr. Jerome Unatin. The late fall’s evening dinner honored the Ambassadors, one of Torrance Memorial’s annual support groups. Chef Michael Mazzotta of Basq Kitchen in Redondo Beach served up Basque cuisine and guests were serenaded by classical guitarist Tom Bellizia. President and CEO Craig Leach gave a brief update on the Cedars affiliation and introduced patient Alan Goldstein, who spoke of his gratitude for his team of physicians, whom he called, “The best of the best; world class, along with the nurses, technicians, staff and volunteers I encountered.” The Ambassadors key initiatives are the Burn Center, Turpanjian Rehabilitation Center, Hunt Cancer Institute and Health Education.  For more information, visit TorranceMemorial/org/Ambassadors or call Judith Gassner, Senior Director of Development/Principal Gifts at (310) 517-4704.
