Spotlight on the hill – Golden Jubilee opening night

St. Francis Episcopal Church hosted it’s 50th annual Antiques Show and Sale to a crowd of spirited oenophiles, foodies and shoppers. The Golden Jubilee marked the opening night of this spring fundraiser. Proceeds go to the church’s Mission and Outreach program. Many of the 25 vendors come year after year to show their one-of-a-kind wares from bygone eras. They included Anne Slater a New England antique vendor, Eve and Gary Lickver with estate jewelry, Meissen porcelain from Germany and pottery and Nielsen Antique Furniture from Whittier, to name a few. Along with this two story shopping bazaar were two levels of Prosecco, fine wines, hearty hors d’oeuvres and a plethora of desserts. A busy silent auction completed the shopping evening and guests went home carrying treasures — all for a good cause.
