The Winter Show is a juried all-media exhibition hosted by Palos Verdes Art Center open exclusively to PVAC members. Juror and keynote speaker Dan McCaw told guests, “The purpose of my art is to open the door for you to enter with your own interpretation.” He discussed artists finding their own voice and the importance of working within a community of artists. McCaw’s work has been described as a bridge between the traditional and contemporary. He was a faculty member at ArtCenter College of Design for over 15 years. In 2007 he was given an Honorary Doctorate degree by the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He has had over 40 solo exhibitions and has been the subject of numerous art publication articles.
