Spotlight on theatre – Encore Circle Season Opening
Members of Palos Verdes Performing Arts’ Encore Circle celebrated the opening of the Norris Theatre’s 37th season at an elegant dinner on September 15 at the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion. Members then headed over to the Norris Theatre for The Texas Tenors’ sold-out concert. The special engagement is an annual tradition for the support group, chaired by Abby Douglass. Encore Circle, which was formed two years after the Norris opened, is one of seven PVPA support groups. Abby Douglass, who is also the President of the Board of Directors, thanked the attendees and acknowledged that it would not be possible to bring such illustrious entertainment to the Peninsula without their support. Members are invited to several special events and receptions each year, including a festive holiday party in December.
