It looks like we’ll see a really nice swell on Thursday, which will just taper off slowly through the weekend. By then, a storm off the coast of Mexico will have had a chance of developing into a tropical storm.

Thursday morning should be good, assuming that long interval SW roars into town. This energy will be coming up the line at a 200-210 degree angle with 18-22 second intervals. Friday morning should be pumping again with head high to well overhead sets for the exposed south facing breaks.

By Saturday morning things will be on the decline. The good news is that the best spots will continue to kick out shoulder to head high plus sets with a few bigger ones mixing in.

Sunday morning will be a slightly smaller and less consistent than Saturday, but once again there will be some nice sets rolling through. This will continue into Monday with the same, “slow dying swell” story line attached.

The current water temps are: South Bay 68, Newport 67, Huntington 66, Santa Monica 68 and Malibu 61 degrees. ER
