“The Drip” is a new webisode series dedicated to showcasing local LA surfers from average joes to the pros. For episode one, we sat down to talk to local longboard star Mike Siordia on what really drives his surfing fancy. A product of Hermosa Beach, the original surf city USA, and fortunate to have the late great Wayne Miyata as a mentor, Siordia discusses how the local surf and surf culture dictates his surfing and lifestyle. Besides losing his mind in the crowds of Porto, you can find the young hotdogger slanging suds at O’Hearn’s in Redondo Beach (a haunt of the legendary late Dewey Weber) or working behind the counter at Vanguard Surf and Skate making ends meet.
