
On Saturday, September 13th from 7am-2pm as a part of Dive Nā Surfās Surf/SUP Demo Days, the Longboard Collectorās Club will host a Vintage Surfboard Swap Meet.
āItās an opportunity to browse, sell, or swap classic surfboards,ā Saul Zaragoza of Dive nā Surf said. āWith Dive Nās Surf on 504 North Broadway being the worldās oldest and continually ran Surf/Dive shop in the world and Body Glove inventing the wetsuit, our location is ideal .ā
The event will also celebrate the legendary Hap Jacobs as he will be making an appearance.Ā Last Thursday Jacobās former team riders honored him at a dinner at Captain Kiddās. Attendees included legendary ā60s era surfers Lance Carson, Rick Irons, Mike Purpus and Paul Strauch
āJacobs Surfboards and old his shop on 422 PCH is a part of the collective that made Hermosa Beach a miracle mile of surf shops,ā said local Davenport Surfboards Star and 60s enthusiast Shawn OāBrien. āGreg Noll Surfboards, Rick Surfboards, Dewey Weber Surfboards, and Bing Surfboards as well as the history up to now make the South Bay a Surf Industry Mecca.ā

Besides the swap meet, the Longboard Collectorās Club will be hosting a woody car show in the parking lot..
“Itās great that Dive nā Surf as well as the Longboard Collectorās Club has stepped up an event that I hope becomes a frequent thing,ā OāBrien said. Ā āItās time to give back to our heritage.ā
Dive nā Surf will also be hosting a Surf/SUP demo Day with booths of Surfboards, SUPs, wetsuits, and accessories. Toro Longboards, Focus SUPs, Stewart Surfboards, Chris Ruddy Surfboards, Roberts Surfboards, and Rusty Surfboards are scheduled to attend.
