Witches Paddle at Haunted Harbor in Redondo Beach

A fog bank rolled into Redondo’s Haunted Harbor early Halloween morning. When the fog lifted, over 100 witches and warlocks appeared gliding across the water. The coven was convened by stand-up paddlers Erin Hansen, Veronica McGregor and Alison Parsons. The three witches were inspired by a similar gathering of stand-up paddleboard witches in Morro Bay, whose small harbor is also known for heavy fog. McGregor and Parsons organized their first witches stand-up paddle last Halloween. The witches and warlocks received loaner stand-ups and lessons from Olympus Board Shop’s Jeremy Godo Kiss. The witches next paddle will be in King Harbor on Nov. 22 at 10 a.m., when the witches will transform into turkeys. ER
