Woman’s club says ‘I support local’
The Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club is distributing “I Support Local” signs.
In another pandemic-inspired effort to support local businesses, the Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club is distributing “I support local” yard and window signs, and bumper stickers. The signs and bumper stickers are free to anyone who sends a selfie of himself or herself patronizing a Hermosa Beach business. The selfies should be sent to WomansClubOfHermosaBeach.org/support-local.
Hermosa businesses are also encouraging residents to shop local with a series of holiday promotions organized by the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Hermosa Beach Association.
The promotions begin with the Elf on the Shelf promotion this Saturday and continuing through Nov. 27. Other promotions will include a Black Friday sale on Nov. 27, Small Business Saturday on Nov. 28, and Cyber Monday on Nov. 30.
The city will do its part to help local businesses by putting red bags over the parking meters on Nov. 27 and keeping the meters bagged through Christmas Day. ER
