Council halts fire department merger talks

The City Council on Tuesday night called an end to talks between Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach regarding a potential consolidation of the two cities’ fire departments.

Schools score well in state comparison

Redondo Beach schools scored well in comparison to others schools in statewide and similar school rankings of the Academic Performance Index, according to a report issued by the California Department of Education last week.
