Redondo hosts its Preseason Varsity Invitational on Friday and Saturday with a number of high-ranking teams competing for the championship. Along with the Sea Hawks, the tournament features Mater Dei, Tesoro, Newbury Park, South Torrance, Servite, Lakewood and Thousand Oaks. Paddleboarding: The Lanakila Classic will take place Saturday at Seaside Lagoon. The ocean race features outriggers, surfskis, SUP, paddleboards including a 1000-meter kids course, 5-mile short course and 9-mile long course.
