The seven candidates for Manhattan Beach City Council debated Tuesday, in an event sponsored by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.

The candidates for two open council seats are incumbent Suzanne Hadley, former councilpersons Amy Howorth, David Lessor, and Mark Burton, and Stewart Fournier, Frank Chiella, and Rita Crabtree-Kampe.
The Chamber sponsored School Board debate is Thursday, September 29 at the Mira Costa High School Auditorium, at 5:30 p.m.
Six candidates are running for three open school board seats. They are incumbent Jen Fenton, and challengers Christy Barnes, Tina Shivpuri, John Uriostegui, Wysh Weinstein, and Mike Welsh.
