Assaulting a Police Officer
A man was arrested outside an apartment building last Wednesday evening after he assaulted a police officer called to the scene. The suspect was the subject of a restraining order from his former-girlfriend, who called police to her apartment building in the 1700 block of Ardmore Ave. about 10:00 p.m., police said. The man was booked on suspicion of violating a domestic violence restraining order.
Road Rage
A man threw an iced coffee at a woman last Wednesday in what police said was a case of road rage. The man and woman were in separate cars in the 300 block of Pacific Coast Highway shortly before noon when the male motorist, apparently believing that the woman had cut him off in traffic, hurled the beverage at the woman, police said.
No one was hurt in the incident, but the suspect was arrested and cited at the scene.
Burglary Tools
A man was arrested last Tuesday afternoon after being found in possession of burglary tools, police said. Officers received a description of a man suspected of stealing a bike about 3:30 p.m. They found someone matching the description near the intersection of Hermosa Ave. and 22nd St. Police searched the suspect and found modified keys used to break into cars.
