Best of the BeachWhat makes Donald McVicar a good negotiator is the eight years he spent negotiating shipping fees for a Japanese fishing company. What makes him a good Realtor, he said, is his institutional knowledge and personal commitment that comes from having grown up in the beach cities.

McVicar describes the beach cities real estate market as competitive for Realtors because listings are scarce and for buyers because so many people want to live here.

“Real estate’s a dynamic industry. People get job transfers, have babies, move up and scale down,” he said.

“I’m just a hard working kid. People trust me and I take the work personally,” the Re/Max Beach Cities Properties Realtor said.
