ES education – El Camino College

Dena P. Maloney said when she was named president of El Camino College in 2016 that she would focus on partnering with local businesses to prepare students for employment. Judging from her State of the College address on Friday., Nov. 9, she’s made good on her promise. This year, the California Apprenticeship Initiative awarded ECC $500,000 to develop aerospace technicians. The National Science Foundation contributed $1 million to enable ECC to increase its computers classes from 15 in 2014 to 50 this year. The school is also collaborating with Amazon Web Services to offer a cloud computing certificate.
