TEDx, Vitality Cities talk up a Blue Zone, Thursday
Vitality City and TEDxManhattan Beach are teaming up on a presentation about “living longer and better” on Thursday, Feb. 10 at the El Camino College Campus Theater. Vitality City is based on author Dan Buettner, New York Times best seller The Blue Zones, which discusses the lifestyles of communities where people frequently live to be 100 years old. Vitality City’s South Bay director Joel Spoonheim will discuss the Beach Cities Health District’s program to make the beach cities a Blue Zone. BCHD’s Lisa Santora will discuss the current health of the beach cities. Haley Rushing will discuss the purpose of “purpose. And Bikeability/Walkability expert Dan Burden will discuss how to make the beach cities more bike and pedestrian friendly.
