The Peninsula Education Foundation (PEF) 39th annual Main Event gala fundraiser was held May 11th at Terranea Resort. The PEF funds many programs for students at all 17 public schools in the PVPUSD, including the elementary music programs, college and career counseling staff, P.E. teachers and library aides. The highlight of the evening was a live auction with packages including an exclusive family resort membership to Terranea Resort, a getaway to The Ranch at Canyon Ridge in Santa Ynez; Shawn Mendes concert tickets for 12 at Staples Center and a private wine dinner prepared by Michael Franks and Robert Bell. Christopher Knight from the 1970s Brady Bunch series was the special guest of the evening. A raffle drawing was held with a chance to win a new Lexus RX 450h, which was also on display.
