Spotlight on Charity: “Havana Nights” Party with a purpose

On the evening of April 27, the all volunteer Las Candalista hosted its annual Spring Fundraising Event at the Norris Pavilion. Guests were treated to a cocktail and salsa dancers upon arrival. Chef Dora passed appetizers while guests took in the silent and live auctions that included a luxury collection of beachfront resorts, a dinner in your home catered by Chef Dora, four field level Dodger tickets, two VIP tickets to see Jimmy Kimmel Live, along with a $200 Musso and Frank gift card. 

There were two Cuban themed bars with cigar rolling demonstrations and casino games going all night. Comedian Gary Cannon kept the audience in stitches. a chef prepared buffet style dinner and photo opportunities followed. Proceeds from the event went to benefit Community’s Child, Manes for Movement, Marine Mammal Care Center LA and 11 other South Bay philanthropies.
