Beach Cities Paddleouts 2025: A place to grieve, a place to celebrate

The South Bay’s moderate climate and generally small surf have made paddleouts increasingly common for people who have passed and who loved the ocean. They invite communal grieving, but also communal celebration, because the ocean is a place that brought joy to the person mourned.
