Station construction underway

Construction on the bus roadway at the Artesia Metro Blue Line Station started Monday. The station will remain open to the public during construction, but some bus stops will be temporarily moved as different portions of the roadway are repaved.

The existing crosswalk between the parking lot and the station also will be temporarily relocated approximately 20 feet north one week after construction begins until project completion.

The project is expected to take 90 days. All cars coming into the station will need to turn into the first driveway to enter the parking lot. There will be increased traffic congestion during construction that may result in occasional bus delays.

Those who park and ride may choose to seek alternative park and ride stations, including: 103rd St/Watts Towers Station, Willowbrook Station, Del Amo Station, Wardlow Station or Willow Station. For more details and updates on this project, visit thesource.metro.net or metro.net.
