“Father Ray and I intended to sprinkle all of you with holy water, but God is doing it for us,” Father John Heinz told the 700 Our Lady of Guadalupe parishioners who celebrated Easter with a sunrise Mass on the beach at 14th Street in Hermosa Beach. The light sprinkle stopped when the liturgy began. Attendance has grown each year since Pastor Ray Mallett began the tradition began four years ago.
