Another stellar performance by Redondo distance runner Kayla Ferron wasn’t enough to lift the Sea Hawks’ girls track and field team to a title at the 19th annual Mustang Relays Saturday, with host Mira Costa capturing the crown by an eight-point margin after scoring 98 points.
For the second consecutive year, Ferron was named Female Ahtlete of the Meet after leading Redondo to wins in the 4×800 and distance medley events.
