Let’s Get Started with the Wine: The good kind, the kind that goes in to and not out of our mouths. Tonight, Thursday, June 10, if you need a break from Laker madness – can they stretch these games out any farther? – head over to the new Lunada BayHouse Restaurant, PVE from the owners of Lou E Luey’s and Delzano’s, RB for a Justin Vineyards & Winery Wine Dinner from 5-11 p.m. When Justin and his wife Deborah founded their 160 acre property back in 1981, there were less than 10 wineries in the Paso Robles appellation of California’s Central Coast. This region’s first grapes were planted in 1779 by Franciscan missionaries and today are home to the third highest concentration of wineries in the United States. Today the emphasis is placed on making Bordeaux-style blends and single varietals combining Old World tradition with New World techniques. Today the Paso Robles appellation encompasses more than 600,000 acres and is the largest stand alone AVA, (American Viticultural Area), in California with dozens of wineries cropping up over the past 30 years. The four-course meal with varietals paired with each course is $49.95 per person plus tax & grat. Call 310.544.1704 or check out lunadabayhouse.com for more info or to reserve your spot…

Continue with Charity: This Sunday, June 13 from 3-6 p.m. join our fave Bostonions as they once again pay tribute to their dearly departed friend Jim Hurley at this year’s Shea Hurley Foundation Wine Tasting held at Tin Roof Bistro, Sepulveda in the Manhattan Village, MB. Relax in the courtyard and sip on select wines and tapas while supporting the fight to cure cancer. $35 donation gains you entry to sip and nibble the afternoon away, plus a portion of the proceeds from any bottles purchased during the event will also go to the cause. Call 310.546.5257 for more info and to buy tickets…
