Redondo Ballet’s next production is “Snow Queen.”

Spotlight:

Redondo Ballet will perform “Snow Queen” at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 3 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd. Tickets range from $25 to $50 and are available at redondoballet.org, or by calling (310) 292-4572, and at the box office prior to each performance. Audience members under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Masks are optional but recommended. Redondo Ballet was formed in 2014 with a vision to create a home for the art of dance in the South Bay. Leading the cast of “Snow Queen” is Kelly Vittetoe in the title role.

Pacific brim, at Torrance Art

The Torrance Art Museum has a new exhibit: “Bridging the Pacific-LA Art of the Japanese Diaspora.” This year marks the 50th anniversary of the sister city program between Kashiwa, Japan and Torrance. To celebrate this milestone, the Torrance Art Museum is presenting an exhibition of the artistic talents of the Japanese American community based in Southern California. Sports luncheon

This week’s South Bay Athletic Club meeting will feature former Westchester High basketball coach Ed Azzam, winner of 15 Los Angeles City and six state championships. The SBAC meets every Friday at noon at H.T. Grill, 1701 S. Catalina Ave., Redondo Beach. The luncheon meeting is open to the public. Cost is $30.

Refinery meeting

The Torrance Refinery Action Alliance and other organizations will host an informational event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Locker Student Union at Cal State Dominguez Hills. The New Hollywood String Quartet will perform with the South Bay Chamber Music Society on Friday, Feb. 17. The concert will be repeated on Sunday, Feb. 19.

The South Bay Chamber Music Society’s next concert features the New Hollywood String Quartet performing works by Beethoven, Joaquín Turina and Alfred Schnittke. The concert is at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 and will be repeated at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19. The first concert will be held in the Recital Hall of the Music Department at Los Angeles Harbor College, 1111 Figueroa Place, Wilmington. The Recital Hall is located in the Music building at the north end of campus. The second concert is at Pacific Unitarian Church, 5621 Montemalaga Drive, Rancho Palos Verdes. Cancer Support: De-Clutter

Cancer Support Community South Bay offers this free workshop presented by Regina Lark, owner of A Clear Path: Professional Organizing and Productivity. In this fun and interactive workshop, participants will learn to create a de-clutter plan and how to let go of stuff. The workshop is from 11 a.m.-noon on Zoom. Manhattan Library book sale

Manhattan Beach Friends of the Library will hold its quarterly book sale from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the library conference room. The library is located at 1320 Highland Ave. Proceeds help pay for library programs for children, teens and adults and to purchase books and magazines not included in the library budget. Most books are priced at $1 or less. Additionally, inside the library near the elevator there is an ongoing book sale section, stocked weekly. Pointe Vicente guided nature walks

Join the Los Serenos de Point Vicente for a tour of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center Native Plant Garden in Rancho Palos Verdes and walk along the spectacular bluff top at the Vicente Bluff Reserve. The theme of the walk is “whales.” There is no charge to participate and all ages are welcome. Bring sun/weather protection and water. Sturdy shoes recommended. The walk is about one and a half miles. Meet at 10 a.m. on the front patio of Point Vicente Interpretive Center, located at 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes. Guided Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, 10:30 a.m. Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean. Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike. Reservations not required. Preserve parking available at the end of the street in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo del Mar, San Pedro.

El Segundo Muscle Car show

The Automobile Driving Museum will host a muscle car show from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 610 Lairport St., El Segundo.

Quilt show

The South Bay Quilters Guild will hold its annual show on Saturday, Feb. 18 and Sunday, Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance. Rock ’n roll tribute band the Atlantic City Boys is bringing the music of the ‘50s and ‘60s to the Redondo Union High School auditorium.
