Tomboy’s – Strangely enough, you can’t buy a bowl of chili at the place that won the award for best chili. Really, it’s not on the menu at Tomboy’s. Instead it’s a vital component of their chili dogs, chili cheeseburgers, and chili fries. Tomboy’s chili is mild and savory – spice hounds should look elsewhere or grab the Tabasco, but those who enjoy a meaty, beanless chili as an element of their meal flock to the fast food shack on Manhattan Beach Boulevard.
