Crème de la CrepeThis is the restaurant that introduced a generation of South Bay diners to the varieties of crepes, once thought of primarily as a dessert item. Crème de la Crepe serves them at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, sweet and savory, made crisp with slightly nutty buckwheat flour or sweet with wheat flour. The fillings are mostly the same you would find in France, though that includes a wider range than you might expect. Along with favorites such as ham and Brie or beef Bourguignon, the French enjoy their versions of chicken curry, Norwegian salmon, and Moroccan spicy sausage as crepe fillings. Every crepe comes with a substantial salad, and the meals are light yet satisfying.
