Things have changed a bit at this South Bay landmark since one of the partners sold his interest, but the essentials remain the same – good value, casual environment, and famously fine fish and chips. Twelve dollars gets you two big pieces of fish in crunchy batter, as many fryer-fresh fries as the average person can hold, and a selection from their extensive menu of side dishes. The hush puppies and chowder are favorites, but if you’re really a French fry fanatic you can even double up your order. Whatever you have, you’ll dine at long tables with fishermen, business people, miscellaneous boat owners and wharf rats, and a cross section of locals who appreciate good food and good value.
