Drawing more than 10,000 race enthusiasts, the Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K Run/Walk presented by Kaiser Permanente has become one of – if not – the largest Super Bowl celebrations inSouthern California. Hosted by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, the event celebrated its 34th year last month.
Held adjacent to the Seaside Lagoon, yearly festivities begin with the popular costume contest presented by the King Harbor Association, followed by a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk and Baby Buggy 10K.
A two-day Health & Fitness Expo offers guests food, beverages, live music and running accessories. Runners receive a custom race teach shirt and awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each category.
