The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has filed charges against the two 15-year-old Redondo Union High School students who brought loaded guns to school last week.

“LADA reviewed the case and charges were filed,” Venusse Dunn, LACDA spokeswoman told Easy Reader, in an email. “It is not permissible to state what charges were filed or to release information that might lead to identification of a minor,” she wrote.

The Redondo Beach Police Department arrested the first RUHS sophomore on Monday, Dec. 4, on charges of juvenile in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm on school grounds,  possession of a high-capacity magazine, carrying a loaded firearm in public, and possession of an unregistered, loaded firearm.

The RBPD arrested a second sophomore on Tuesday, Dec. 5, on the same charges.

The RBPD said in a press release after the second incident, “As with the previous case, this case will be prepared by investigators and forwarded to the Los Angeles County Probation Department for consideration of filing charges.” ER
