Car Assault
Late last month near downtown Hermosa, a man repeatedly backed his car into another vehicle while the victim was still inside it, police said.
The incident occurred about 7 p.m. July 30 along the 700 block of Pier Ave. The victim was sitting in his car when a car in front him backed into his vehicle three or four times, according to police reports. The suspect then drove away.
Bike taken from motel
A bicycle stolen from a beachside motel was recovered last month after witnesses reported the theft, police said.
A suspect took an unlocked bicycle from the courtyard of the Sea Sprite motel in the early morning hours of July 28, according to police reports. Police identified and located the suspect, who was later found, in possession of the stolen bike.
Car Egged
Two cars parked near downtown Hermosa were vandalized last week when unknown suspects threw eggs at them, police said.
The cars were parked overnight in the 1200 block of Monterey Blvd, according to police reports. The eggs were apparently hurled at the cars at some point between 10 p.m. Aug. 2 and 7:15 a.m. Aug. 3.
