Roommate spat escalates
A disagreement between roommates turned ugly in downtown Hermosa earlier this week when one roommate threw the other to the ground, causing serious injuries. The incident occurred about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Pier Avenue, according to police reports. Both roommates were intoxicated and got into a verbal disagreement that escalated. The victim suffered a fractured nose, a dislocated shoulder and may have sustained a concussion.
Drunk, with burglary tools
A person arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in downtown Hermosa earlier this week was allegedly in possession of burglary tools. Police made contact with the suspect about 9 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Hermosa Avenue when they observed the suspect to be intoxicated, according to police reports.
