Hermosa Beach police responded to reports of a fight during which a gun was fired at approximately  8:20 Sunday night, at 10th Street and Hermosa Avenue.
Witnesses told police that two males exited a white BMW with a gun and began fighting with two males and two females who had been walking on the sidewalk, according to Hermosa Beach Police public information officer Robert Higgins. Witnesses said they heard a pop, which they believed was a gunshot.
Two males in a car matching the witnesses’s description were arrested at Hermosa Ave. and 190th about 10 minutes after police were called, Officer Higgins said. A .22 caliber pistol was found in the car.
But police were unable to locate the two men and two women who were the alleged victims of the attack. Higgins said there was no evidence that anyone had been hit by the bullet that was allegedly fired and that he hoped the four alleged victims would contact the police. He also asked that anyone else with information about the incident call the Hermosa Beach Police at (310) (310) 318-0360. ER
