Manhattan Beach Police arrested two men earlier Wednesday for allegedly robbing a Manhattan Beach jewelry store after using pepper spray on a female employee. Authorities are still looking for a third suspect.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department arrested Martin Lincoln, 23, of Los Angeles and Jermane Love, 21, of Quartz Hills in connection with the robbery at 23rd Street Jewelers, 1009 Manhattan Ave.

At roughly 11:15 a.m., Manhattan Beach Police responded to a report that three suspects entered the store and pepper sprayed the employee, who was treated on scene when authorities arrived. According to store employees, the suspects jumped over the store’s counters and grabbed jewelry before fleeing to a car outside, described as a maroon Chevrolet with paper license plates.

Shortly after, police found two suspects driving the car near Civic Center Plaza in Manhattan Beach, stopped them in the 1900 block of Valley Drive, and arrested them for robbery.

Authorities would not disclose the amount of merchandise taken.

The third suspect, who is still at large, is described by police as a black male, last seen possibly dressed all in black.

The MBPD is asking for the help of anyone who saw anything suspicious downtown today to help identify the third suspect. Anyone who has information about the crime and those involved is asked to call 310-802-5127.
