The Mac iPad made a grand entrance at the Manhattan Village Mall Apple store April 3, with 250 people standing in line by 7:45 a.m., according to Mac-head Ron McIntyre.

Though the store did not open until 10 a.m., the line of customers eagerly awaiting what is essentially a touch-screen computer tablet extended outside the mall and past Macy’s toward Sepulveda Boulevard.

McIntyre said it took him nearly three hours to reach the front of the line to purchase the long-awaited gadget. ER
