One Pedestrian and one motorcyclist hit on Redondo roads

Redondo Beach Police

Two vehicle accidents sent two people to the hospital last Sunday, including a 94-year-old pedestrian, who was in critical condition after being run over at the intersection of Nob Hill and Camino Real.

The woman entered the crosswalk about 10 a.m. as an SUV veered right from Camino Real onto Knob Hill Avenue. The driver stopped and discovered the woman under the vehicle.

“It was one of those freak accidents,” said Sergeant Scot Martin, traffic investigator, Redondo Beach Police Department.

Sunday evening, about 7 p.m., a 42-year-old man riding a motorcycle south on the Pacific Coast Highway collided with a sedan crossing PCH, at Avenue D. The rider was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. ER
