One person was killed, and a second was injured, in a shooting near the intersection of Marine Boulevard and Inglewood Avenue.
According to preliminary reports from Redondo Beach police, two people were using the crosswalk at the intersection when an altercation developed. A third attempted to intervene, when one of the subjects pulled a handgun and shot the other two.
One victim was killed, while the other was injured and taken to a local hospital; their condition is unknown. The identity of the deceased victim is currently unknown.
Preliminary reports did not indicate that police apprehended the shooter, though the investigation is ongoing. More details to come.
