Portuguese Bend National Horse Show and Party
Peninsula Committee Children’s Hospital held their 58th annual Portuguese Bend National Horse Show at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates on September 4th, 5th, and 6th. The theme for this year’s event was “Braveheart.” All of the money is raised for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and directly benefits the Associates Rehabilitation Caregiver Wing and the Associates Sarcoma Program Chair. In addition to the three day horse show, there was a colorful children’s carnival, food booths, haybale boutique, a Saturday Night BBQ dinner, and special events including a visit from the miniature therapy horses of Gentle Carousel, Parade of Trophies, and the Long Beach Mounted Police.
