RBUSD administration

promotes from within,
bids farewell to Elward

At its Dec. 11 meeting, the Redondo Beach Unified School District’s Board of Education welcomed the promotion of two administrators within the district and the hiring of a new principal after the departure of a senior staffer to another LA County school district.

Dr. Anthony Taranto, most recently the head administrator of South Bay Adult School, and Susan Wildes, most recent Principal of Alta Vista Elementary School, have been promoted within the district. Taranto is RBUSD’s Executive Director of Student Services, while Wildes will become the district’s Executive Director of Student Services.

Taranto replaces Dr. Erik Elward, who has left the district to become an Assistant Superintendent with the Bellflower Unified School District, and held the job briefly after Dr. Nicole Wesley ascended to Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in October.
