Swimming, paddling, and beach, and water flags were among the events local groms participated  in Saturday at 22nd Street in Hermosa Beach during the South Bay Boardrider Club’s  Grom-O-Rama. The annual event is designed to introduce children, ages 5 to 13, to the joys of a day at the beach, both in the water and on the sand.

SBBC has over 200 member families, but the free event was open to all kids. At the end of the day, Evan Keene and Bryn Barry were crowned  King and Queen of the Beach, and Charlie Miles was named Most Inspirational. Top teams received swag bags donated by local businesses.
