Spotlight on Nature – Women and Flowers “The Most Divine Creations”

Handmade bouquets made by members at each table.

The Silver Spur Garden Club hosted its annual fundraiser and luncheon outside at the beautiful home of the Ferasat family in Lunada Bay on the sunny afternoon of May 10 . The event began with a tour of their lush and vibrant garden, followed by tea, coffee and member-made cookies, and a plant sale. The members made spring floral centerpieces for each table. There was a raffle, luncheon and a lively live and silent auctions. The group holds monthly meetings where they increase their gardening know-how from guest speakers. The Silver Spur Garden Club was founded in 1957 to provide financial support, and workshops to local local schools and garden programs, including Valmonte Farm and Garden, Palos Verdes 4H Club and Vista Grande Elementary School.
