Spotlight on People – 100th Birthday Celebration with Longtime Local Valmonte resident

Cecil and Marilyn Wyman along with local scout troops holding flags and banners presented Cecil with a 100th birthday card and banner.

On March 23rd, the local community came together, with the PVE Police Department including motorcycle officer Fred Hatch, LA County Fire Department, PVE Neighborhood Watch, local Scout troops with their flags and parade, the Peninsula Library District’s historian Monique Sugimoto, local classic car enthusiasts such as Jim Huizdos’ 1931 Model A and Steve and Mary Ann Friedrich’s 1929 Model A, and so many other neighbors came out to celebrate with Cecil Wyman-his 100th landmark birthday. With everyone’s heartfelt participation, the celebration truly showed PVE community spirit! There were almost 60 guests at the event and the camaraderie that ensued and the happiness shared with the Wymans was tactile. Renee Jaco of the PVE Foundation provided a cool, PV100 sweatshirt to Cecil and Mayor Jim Roos presented him with an Official PVE City Proclamation commemorating this special occasion.
