Spotlight on the hill – A Night on Bourbon Street

Peninsula Friends of the Library held their gala “A Night on Bourbon Street” on Saturday March 9 with a sold out crowd. Donna Peters with PV Party Elf,  Kaaren Lee and Colleen Cotter transformed the Peninsula Center Library into a fun and festive Bourbon Street atmosphere with the Peninsula High Jazz Trio. Hurricanes were served from the host bar along with a tarot card reader and a photo booth. Ron DeFrees, President of PFL, thanked guests for their support and to the tune of  “When the Saints Come Marching In,” the guests followed the band into an imaginative and whimsical themed dining room. A southern dinner was served family style. The PFL provides funding to the Palos Verdes Library District to support over 1,000 programs, including Sunday hours, summer reading programs and Teen Annex.
