Spotlight on the hill – Palos Verdes Asembly Presentation Ball

The Palos Verdes Assembly tradition which began in 1964 has continued for 54 years. This year 44 high school seniors were recognized and presented at the elegant Presentation Ball. This year’s formal was held at the Crystal Ballroom of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel on Saturday, May 5. The evening recognized each senior for their four-year commitment not only to learning ballroom dance and social etiquette, but also to their philanthropic efforts in the community. This past year, Assembly participants donated 10,224 hours of service to various charitable causes, and each of its seniors earned the prestigious Assembly Medallion which was awarded at the ball. The evening’s festivities also included a mother/son and father/daughter waltz led by dance master Bobby Burgess which was followed by an enchanted evening of dining and dancing.
